Colorado Beauty

Aspen, Colorado

Aspen, Colorado

Widely regarded as one of the most beautiful places in the United States, Colorado is one of the most popular travel destinations.  If I had the money to buy a house, I’d consider moving to Colorado for sure.  One of the big reasons for that is my passion for Meteorology; I keep track of the weather in Denver periodically throughout the year.  The city can experience cool summer days, warm winter days, Blizzards in October and April, among other things that would be considered bizarre in most other locations of the US.  With how extreme the weather can be, I’d think it would be important to look for Colorado Moving Companies in specific, in hopes that they are prepared to deal with the weather.

Even though much of Colorado is wilderness, it’s not entirely out in the middle of nowhere as much of what I’d need can be found in Denver, which is the largest city in Colorado.  Colorado Springs is Colorado’s second largest city, located about 70 miles south of Denver, follow by Aurora, which is located near Denver itself.  Denver is also known as the “Mile High City” due to its elevation of exactly one mile above sea level.

By the way, if this kind of place appeals to you and you live outside of the United States, you may want to look into Colorado International Movers.  Otherwise Colorado Movers are what you should be looking for on Google.  There’s a lot to write about Denver and Colorado, but these pictures really are worth a thousand words.

Winter Weather Advisory – in late June!?

Posted in Meteorology, Science

Yeah yeah, I know its the mountains of Colorado, but still it seems crazy.

Take a look at the current forecast from the NWS:

Aspen Forecast - Snow in June

Aspen Forecast - Snow in June

The Winter Weather Advisory was issued for 3 to 6 inches of snow. This amount of snow would be significant for my area in January – pretty crazy that its happening in the middle of [meteorological] summer. They are also expecting thunder and winds in excess of 40mph to accompany the snowstorm.
